Jimmy Dale Coomer, 68 of Gun Barrel City, Texas passed on December 27, 2018. He was born on November 8, 1950 in Wylie, Texas to the home of Luther Joe & Betty Sue Myrick Coomer. Jimmy attended Wylie High School in Wylie, Texas and was the class of 1968.

Once he graduated he joined the United States Air Force and served our county for 4 years. After he returned home he worked as a worked as a wall paper designer with John Prince Originals in Dallas, Texas. He moved to Gun Barrel City in 2009.

In Jimmy’s spare time he enjoyed cooking and spending time with his family and friends. Jimmy is survived by his life partner of 27 years Leslie Carter Lowery of Gun Barrel City, Texas; 2 sisters Vickie Jones & husband Terry of Oak Leaf, Texas and Leann Coomer of St. Joseph, Missouri; niece Staci Jones of Ovilla, Texas; nephew Corporal Tristin Jones of Waxahachie, Texas; great-niece Taylor Jones; great-nephew Tristin Jones; his beloved dog Lucky. Jimmy also has a host of friends who will dearly miss him.

Jimmy is preceded in death by his dear parents. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the SPCA in Jimmy’s name.
