Jimmy Leroy Luker passed away on February 21, 2019 at his home at Lake Tawakoni. He was born September 4, 1954 in Dallas, Texas to Horace Clayton and Ruth Opal Bushnell Luker. Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Debra Rae Luker, his parents and his brother Horace Wayne Luker.

Jimmy worked for 7 years for Helping Hands in Quinlan as a maintenance supervisor where his giving heart fit right into the Helping Hands mission for helping others. Jimmy loved time spent with family and friends fishing, playing board games, and fixing old cars, but his favorite thing to do was to tinker around with anything keeping both his hands and his mind busy. A loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, Jimmy will be missed by all who knew him.

Jimmy is survived by his children: Jimmy Luker and wife, Catherine, of Wills Point and Brandy Luker of Wills Point; grandchildren: Christopher Ray Luker, Vance Allen Luker, Ashley Marie Compton and Preston Michael Morgan; great grandson, Michael Brayden Bickley; brother, Donald Ray Luker Sr. and his wife Nancy, sisters: Ruthie Jean Neighbors, Beverly Joyce Carpenter and husband Roaber and Peggy Eileen High; special friend, Mary Garbett, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and other relatives. Jimmy will be laid to rest next to his wife, Debra Rae, at Dodd City Cemetery in Fannin County at a later date. Condolences may be left for his family by clicking the Tribute tab above.
