Jung (Poppop) age 93, of Palmyra, New Jersey passed away peacefully on his birthday, April 29, 2019. He is survived by his beloved wife, Phyllis; devoted father to his son, Tom Jung (Trish) and daughter, Lisa Ciarrochi (Paul). He is also survived by his treasured grandchildren: Melissa Scott DePerto (Rich); Danielle Socha (Ron); Jenny Seidenberg (Mike); Michael Jung (Angela); and his adored great-grandchildren: Lexi and Roger Socha; Michael and Brayden Seidenberg and Nicholas Scott DePerto, and several in-laws, nieces and nephews.

Joachim was predeceased by his parents, Margaret and Hermann and brother, Hans Friedrich. He graduated from the University of Arkansas and worked as an accountant throughout his career. He will be fondly remembered for his kind demeanor, patience, love of storytelling and strength of character.

He enjoyed spending time with family, reading, history, working outdoors, trips to LBI and listening to the oldies. He also enjoyed midnight raids of the refrigerator and no one could top his mashed potatoes or homemade iced tea. A visitation will be held on Thursday, May 2, 2019 from 9:30am to 10:30am at Weber Funeral Home, 112 Broad St. (River Rd.

) Riverton, NJ 08077. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00am at Sacred Heart Church, 4th St. & Linden Ave. , Riverton, NJ 08077.

Interment will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park, Cinnaminson, NJ. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Joachim’s name to Sacred Heart Church, 103 4th St., Riverton, NJ 08077, or to the Charity of your choice. Condolences and remembrances may be shared at www.
