Joan Beason, 75 of Lake in the Hills, was born on August 22, 1943 and passed away suddenly on October 30, 2018. Joan was the loving wife of Donald Beason for 53 years; dear mother of Dennis (Kirsten), Scott (Crystal), Rodney and Elizabeth (Eric); cherished grandmother of Matthew, Aaron, Kyle, Kayla, Dale, Megan, Abigail and Emma; great-grandmother of Diyanah and Alizey; cousin and friend of many; dear friend of Sherry. Joan was preceded in death by her parents, Cecil and Alma; and her siblings, Shirley and John; and grandson, Adam.

Joan was an active member and board member of the Evangelical Free Church of Crystal Lake. She organized volunteers to work at the Crystal Lake Food Pantry and served on the Pantry board. She enjoyed traveling to visit relatives and to see numerous foreign destinations with the Home State Bank Senior Class Club; South Africa and New Zealand were among her favorites.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:30am on Monday, November 5, at the Evangelical Free Church of Crystal Lake, 575 E. Crystal Lake Ave. , Crystal Lake, IL. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Crystal Lake Food Pantry, www.
