Mrs. Joan Belcher Callahan of Argo, AL passed away peacefully at the age of 74 on Friday, June 8, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Callahan is survived by her husband of nine years, James Callahan, two sons; James Andrew Belcher and Kyle (Leslie) Belcher, one daughter; Tracy B.(Scott) Wheeler), two stepchildren; Tresa (Billy) Smith, and Joseph (Keila) Gilliland, ten grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren, one sister; Deonnia Lavett and one brother; Terrell Cooley. Joan was a kind and compassionate lady who never met a stranger and adored her grandchildren.

She will be remembered most for her love for cooking, especially her lasagna, and her love for dogs. Services for Mrs. Callahan will be on Monday, June 11, 2018 at 2:00 in the chapel at Walker Chapel Funeral Home with a visitation starting two hours prior to the service. Burial will immediately follow in Walker Chapel Memorial Gardens.
