Joan M. Forsythe (nee Buxenstein) passed away on May 24, 2018. Devoted mother of Elizabeth C. Rafferty of Pasadena and Sandra L. Tolbert of Arbutus; dear sister of Elizabeth Harrison of Ellicott City; loving grandmother of Jocelyn and Garrett Tolbert of Arbutus and Emma Rafferty of Pasadena. Joan was born March 8, 1940 in Maryland to the late Raymond and Elizabeth Buxenstein.

She worked for the State of Maryland as a secretary for 18 years before retiring in 2004. She was a member of St. Andrews Episcopal Church and enjoyed bowling, reading, bingo and the Baltimore Orioles. Family and friends are invited to call at the family owned and operated McCULLY-POLYNIAK FUNERAL HOME, P.A. 3204 Mountain Road (PASADENA) on Wednesday May 30, 2018 from 3-5 & 7-9 PM.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday May 31, 2018 at St. Andrews Episcopal Church at 10 AM. Interment Glen Haven Memorial Park.
