JoAn George (nee Wood), 97 a resident of Westbrook Park passed away peacefully on May 17, 2019. JoAn was born in Flint, Michigan to Joseph and Olga Wood. She was an active member and Elder at Trinity Presbyterian Church in Westbrook Park.

She was previously a parishioner and Altar Society volunteer at Holy Cross in Springfield for many years. She was a retired nurse who worked at Fitzgerald Mercy hospital. JoAn was also an artist painting lighthouses and birds and sharing them with her family.

As she was losing her sight later in life, she enjoyed taking “Form In Art” classes for visually impaired at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. Predeceased by her husband Nat, son Steven, 3 sisters and 3 brothers. JoAn had six children; Gerri (Bill Eib) George, Toby (Pam) George, Steven (Cheryl) George, Dianne George, Maria George Decker and Joe (Susan) George.

She had 16 grandchildren and 23 1/3 great-grandchildren. Visitation: Tuesday, 10:00 am at Williams Lombardo Funeral Home 33 W. Baltimore Ave. Clifton Heights, PA.
