OBITUARY Joan Lang Meade March 5, 1935 – October 6, 2018 Beloved mother and grandmother, Joan Lang Meade, age 83, of Brookville, New York passed away on Saturday October 6, 2018. Joan was born on March 5, 1935. Joan was predeceased by her husband of 58 years, Thomas F. Meade, and is survived by her three children, Paul (Bernadette), Charles (Julie), and Regina (Anthony) Lafaire and eight grandchildren, Lauren (Brian) Lysy, Gregory Lafaire, Courtney Meade, Marielle Lafaire, Perry Meade, Grace Lafaire, Tommy Meade and Xavier Lafaire.

Joan attended The Mary Louis Academy and Marymount College. She enjoyed amaretto sours, the New York Times crossword puzzle and playing bridge with her lifelong friends, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday October the 13th at 11AM at Saint Paul the Apostle RC Church.

Interment to follow at Locust Valley Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Saint Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital or The Taub Institute for Research on Alzheimer’s Disease and the Aging Brain at Columbia University Medical Center.
