OBITUARY Joan R Chamness November 11, 1929 – December 4, 2018 Joan Rae (nee Bricka) Chamness, of Downingtown, PA passed away peacefully on Monday December 4, 2018 at home. She was born on November 11, 1929. Joan was the wife of the late Bob R. Chamness.

She was deeply devoted to her faith, family and friends. She was an artist, loved to travel, playing golf and bridge. She loved being with family rather it was reunions, a hockey game, girl’s weekends or “the Farm”.

Surviving are 5 children: Cheryl (Daniel) Strickland, Robert (Deborah)Chamness, Philip (Shannon) Chamness, Kathryn (Mark)Smith, R. Bradford (Jennifer) Chamness. 13 Grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren. She is predeceased by two sons, Stephen Raymond and Scott Vincent and grandson Stephen Strickland.

Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation 8:45-9:45am Friday, December 14, 2018 at St. Elizabeth’s Catholic Church, 120 St. Elizabeth Dr., Chester Springs, PA 19425. A mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 am. Interment to follow at Calvary Cemetery, 235 Matsonford RD.W. Conshohocken 19428.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Joan’s honor to Archbishop John Carroll High School, 211 Matsonford Rd. , Radnor, PA 19087 in memory of her son, Scott Chamness.
