OBITUARY Joann M. Andrzejewski August 21, 1943 – August 30, 2018 Joann M. Andrzejewski, 75, of West Hartford, died peacefully in her sleep on Thursday, Aug. 30, 2018, after a long illness. She was born in New Britain to the late John & Genevieve (Wnuk) Andrzejewski.

She graduated from Avon schools. After her graduating from St. Francis Nursing School, she worked as a nurse. She was an active parishioner of Sacred Heart Church in New Britain and a member of St. Theresa’s Ladies Guild, where she had served as past president.

Joann was proud of her Polish heritage. She loved the holidays, baking, crafting, and when able, loved to travel. Joann was the ‘fun aunt.

’ She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, and passed on her love for baking, Polish pride, and devotion to church and family to her nieces and nephews. Joann is survived by her brother, Richard Andrzejewski, his wife, Shirley, of Prince Edward Island, her niece and Goddaughter, Kathleen (Kat) Andrzejewski and her life partner, Rhonda Douglas, of IN, her nephew, Donald Andrzejewski and his son, John, of VA. She was predeceased by her sister, Barbara (Andrzejewski) Esperanza, survived by her husband, Alfred Esperanza of MA, her nephew and Godson, Brian Esperanza, of MA, her niece, Brenda (Esperanza) McEachern, and her husband, Tim, of NH, and nephew, Brent Esperanza, his wife, Tracy, and their children, Joshua and Hannah, of MA.

Joann is also survived by many beloved aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Calling hours will be on Thursday, September 6th from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at New Britain Memorial Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Ave. New Britain.

(Directions, Exit 37 off I-84 take a right at the exit, funeral home is 1 ½ miles on your right. ) Funeral Services will be Friday September 7th at 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Church. Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery.
