Joann B. Rumney, age 78, of Forsyth, died Friday, January 4, 2019, at the Medical Center-Navicent Health in Macon. Born in Unadilla, she was the daughter of the late Claude Blackmon and Ruth Powell Blackmon. She was a homemaker, a loving wife, a devoted mother to her four children.

She was preceded in death by her three sisters, one brother and her son, Timothy M. Everidge. Survivors include: Husband: Donald Rumney of Forsyth Son: Glenn Everidge of Warner Robins Daughters: Wendy Cape of Vienna Lori Hagen of Ormond Beach, FL Step-Children: Donald Rumney, Jr. of Fort Myers Beach, FL Donna Rumney of Byron Grandchildren: Haley, Chasity, Jeremy, Jonathan, Trey, Jared and Dakota Great Grandchildren: Hunter, Caleb and Caroline A memorial service will be held at 11 AM Monday, January 7 in the chapel of Brannen-NeSmith Funeral Home of Vienna. The family will greet friends 10 – 11 AM Monday, January 7 at the funeral home and may be contacted at the residence of Wendy Cape, 607 Lewis Mill Road, Vienna.

Memorial gifts may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave. , Fl. 17, Chicago, IL 60601.

Brannen-NeSmith Funeral Home of Vienna has charge of arrangements. Funeral services for Mrs. Rumney will be at 2 PM Tuesday, January 8 in the chapel of Fairhaven Funeral Home in Macon. Interment will follow in Macon Memorial Park.
