Obituary for Joanne R. Taylor Joanne R. (nee Rogers) Taylor, of Sayler Park, passed away on July 26, 2018 at the age of 91. Joanne was born in New York, New York on June 6, 1927 to the late Joseph and Anna Mae (nee Brooks) Rogers. Joanne then married the late James E. Taylor and together they were blessed with four children: Mary Ann, Michael, Karen Marie, and John.
Joanne loved spending time with her children and grandkids and enjoyed the title of “kid police”. She was part of the Girl Scouts, as well as the “Granny Scouts”. Joanne cherished her time on the boat at Lake Cumberland.
She also enjoyed traveling to see new places and to see the beach. Her other interests included going to Broadway shows at the Aronoff Center and spending her days in the ballpark as a Rosie Red. Joanne was preceded in death by her husband James E. Taylor in 2001; her parents: Joseph and Anna Mae Rogers; and her brother: David “Sonny” Rogers.
Left behind to carry on Joanne’s legacy; her loving children: Mary Ann Wright, Michael Taylor, Karen Marie Everson, and John (Dianna) Taylor; cherished grandchildren: Thomas Dawson, Rhonda Dawson, Chris Dawson, Megan (Erik) Neumann, Michael Taylor, Tony Bill, Amy Bill, Harvey Bill, and Jennifer (Grant) Miller; as well as 13 Great-grandchildren and 2 Great-Great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held at Brater-Winter Funeral Home, 138 Monitor Ave. , Cincinnati, OH 45233, on Wednesday, August 1, 2018 from 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 AM, St. Aloysius On the Ohio, 134 Whipple St., Cincinnati, OH 45233. Burial will follow at 1:00 PM at Our Lady of Victory Cemetery, 810 Neeb Rd. , Cincinnati, OH 45233.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Cincinnati or the Alzheimer’s Association.
