Obituary of Joan Riemann IN LOVING MEMORY OF JOAN RIEMANN Mary Joan Riemann, daughter of Leo and Teresa (Schroer) Goscha, was born October 13, 1937, in Sheridan County, Kansas, and passed away at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney, Nebraska, on June 12, 2018, at the age of 80. Joan was raised on the family farm south of Norton, Kansas, where she graduated from the Edmond High School with the class of 1957. On August 31, 1957, Joan and Harold L. Riemann were united in marriage in Norton, where they made their home and raised their two sons.

Joan worked at the Norton Valley Hope facility for many years, retiring in 2002. Her husband, Harold, passed away February 26, 2004. Joan continued to live in Norton where she enjoyed her time with family and friends.

Joan was a member of the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church and Altar Society and the Eagles Auxiliary. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Survivors include: her two sons, David Riemann, Norton; Kevin Riemann, (Melissa Seacat) Vassar, Kansas; four grandchildren, Alex Riemann, (Katie) Lawrence, Kansas; Wesley Riemann, (Kasie Kidney) and Leah Cook, (Tyler) all of Lansing, Kansas; and Madelyn Montgomery, Vassar; one great-granddaughter, Sydney Riemann, Lansing; two brothers, Don and Bob Goscha; five sisters, Imogene Hahn, Jean Riemann, Evelyn McDiffett, Marylyn Schrum, and Karen Parsons; other relatives and friends.

Joan was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one grandson, Daniel Riemann, one daughter-in-law, Monica Wilson, two brothers, Jerry and Bill Goscha, and one sister, Jeanine Augustine.
