Jocele “Jo” Mae Frey age 85, of Upper Sandusky died on Sunday March 17, 2019 at Fairhaven Community. Jo was born on May 1, 1933 to the late Raymond and Ruth (Van Hyning) Clarridge. She married Gerald Spath in 1953 and surviving are their children Rodger Spath, Lima, Richard “Jake” Spath, Marion, Rita Spath, Delaware and Rhonda (Tad) VanNess, Alexandria.

She married Paul Frey in 1966 and their surviving children are Andrea (Tim) Thiel, Upper Sandusky, Sue (Chris) Vent, Upper Sandusky, Tracey (Teresa) Frey, Kirby and Anthony “Tony” Frey, Kirby. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren, a brother Ronald Weaver, New Knoxville, OH, and 2 sisters Rebecca Brinkman, Edison and Sherry Stockdale, Gardner, MA. She is preceded in death by Gerald and Paul, her brother Waldo Clarridge and sister Evelyn Clarridge.

She was a graduate of Zanesfield High School and retired from Westinghouse/A.O. Smith in 1995. Jocele enjoyed reading, making latch hook rugs and gardening. She was also a very good cook.

Visitation will be held Wednesday March 20, 2019 from 5pm-7pm at Clark Shields Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday March 21, 2019 at 11am with additional visitation before the service from 10am-11am. Burial will follow in Byhalia Cemetery, Washington Twp.
