Jody’s Obituary Jody R. Delaune, 66, a resident of Patterson, passed away Tuesday, March 19, 2019 at Iberia Medical Center. Jody was born on January 5, 1953 in New Iberia, the son of Guy E. Delaune and Ruth J. Reynaud Delaune. Jody served his country proudly in the United States Army for four years, serving overseas in Germany.

He enjoyed being in the outdoors hunting and fishing, as well as sitting on his porch drinking coffee with his friends admiring his beautiful roses he planted. He never met a stranger and loved to talk to anyone he would meet. He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by one sister, Nanette D. Lejeune of New Iberia; four nieces and nephews, Richard Lejeune, Jill Romero and husband Leon, Stuart Lejeune and Racquel Delaune Barber; great nephew and God Child Stephen Lejeune, great nephew, Sean Lejeune; two great nieces, Bailey Grace Barrilleaux, Katie Romero; four great-great nieces and nephews.

Jody was preceded in death by his parents, Guy E. and Ruth Reynaud Delaune; one brother, Vernon Delaune; brother-in-law, Danny Lejeune. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 22, 2019 at Twin City Funeral Home with Rev. Ann Sutton officiating.

A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 21, 2019 at Twin City Funeral Home with the visitation resuming from 9:00 a.m. until service time on Friday at the funeral home. Following the services Jody will be laid to rest in the Morgan City Cemetery.
