Mr. Joe Louis McClure better known as “Joe Mac” was born June 9th 1936 to the late Rev. James and Zylpha McClure. He departed this life on Sunday February 10, 2019.
Mr. McClure attended public schools in Charlotte NC and was a graduate of West Charlotte High School, he also served in the United States Army as a Paratrooper in 1955. Upon his return from service he became employed with the Charlotte Housing Authority and the Charlotte Mecklenburg School System which he retired in 1994. As a result of his generous spirit and pleasant personality, he was loved by many.
His life was as beautiful as the calm lakes and ponds that he fished in where he had a great love for fishing as well as his wheeling and dealing at the Red Barn Flea Market where he never met a stranger. And his influence will forever be remembered in the lives of all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his Mother, Father, a Sister and Brother he will forever be cherished in the lives of his children: Raymond Glover, Anthony Martin, Selena Dulin, Deborah King, Teresa McClure, Tracy McClure, and Sharon McClure all of Charlotte North Carolina; twenty-four grandchildren a host of great grandchildren, relatives and friends.
