Joeon “Joe” Evans Alexander July 02, 1939 – January 07, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Joeon “Joe” Evans Alexander, age 79, a McMinnville, TN resident and native was born July 2, 1939 and passed from this life January 7, 2019 following a sudden illness. Mr. Alexander was a former long-distance truck driver with Batesville Casket Company and attended Friendship The Baptist Church of Rock Island, TN. He was the son of the late J. P. Alexander and Mable Evans Alexander also of McMinnville.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one grandson, Jairus Columbus Alexander; two brothers, J. W. and Bruce Alexander also of McMinnville; and one sister Carmen Alexander Dale of Portland, OR. Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Meshale and Jr Myers of McMinnville, Shonda and Jim Brewer of Franklin, TN and Jolenia Alexander of Cookeville, TN; grandchildren, Gage Myers of Murfreesboro, TN, Paige Myers of Rock Island, Joseph Chandler Alexander and Jimmy Cayden Brewer both of Franklin, TN; step-granddaughters, Lexie, Emily and Sarah Brewer of McMinnville; and sisters and brother-in-law, Wilma Alexander Martin of Nashville and Ronda and Richard Shawcroft of Santa Ynez, CA. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, January 10, 2019 in High’s Chapel with Jason Brown to officiate.

Interment will follow in Mt. View Cemetery. Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday until the time of service at High’s.
