John A. Herbst 95, of McDonald, Mt. Pleasant Twp. ; died, Sunday, May 6, 2018.

He was born March 26, 1923 in Robinson Twp. ; a son of Albert and Clara Berbach Herbst. Mr. Herbst served in the United States Army during WWII.

He then became a dairy farmer. On April 19, 1975 he married Marcella P. Navadauskas who died January 14, 2014. Mr. Herbst enjoyed fishing and working on vehicles.

Surviving is a sister Clara Mihalics of McDonald; two step-children; several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Deceased are two brothers Walter and Thomas Herbst and one step child. Family will receive friends Thursday, May 10, 2018 from 2-4 and 6-8pm at Nation Funeral Home Inc. 220 E. Lincoln Ave McDonald, Pa.

15057. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Friday, May 11, 2018 at 10:00am in St Alphonsus R.C. Church McDonald, PA. Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery McKee’s Rocks, PA.

Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Alphonsus R.C. Church 219 W. Lincoln Ave. McDonald, PA. 15057.
