John A. Novak age 94 of Trafford passed away on Thursday November 29, 2018 in his home. John was born on January 13, 1924 in Wilmerding the son of the late Martin and Caroline (Kreiger) Novak. John was a veteran of the US Army during WWII.

He retired from the US Steel Research and was a member of the St. Regis Church in Trafford and the Trafford American Legion Post 331. John was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy (Jarrett) Novak in 2012, his siblings George Jesko, Bernard, Joe, Frank and Richard Novak, Anna Ulm, Martha Stahovic, Mary Parente, Emilia Praskwiecz and Emma Novak. John is survived by his son Marty (Bette) Novak of Trafford; a grandson Matthew Novak Wurmbrand.

Family and friends will be received on Sunday from 1-4 PM in the John M. Dobrinick Funeral Home Inc., 702 7th St. (State Rt. 130) Trafford 412-372-3111. Parting prayers will be at 9AM Monday in the funeral home followed by a funeral Mass at 9:30 AM in the St. Regis Church.

Entombment will follow in the Penn-Lincoln Memorial Park Mausoleum, N. Huntingdon. www.
