John Alan Lane December 30, 1945 – April 27, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| View Guestbook Entries| Send Sympathy Card John Alan Lane, age 73, of Tipton County passed away on Saturday April 27, 2019 in Kokomo, IN. He was born on December 30, 1945 in Elwood to R. Porter and Rose Eliza (Jobin) Lane. John was a firm believer in Jesus Christ.

He was a graduate of Tipton High School, an Eagle Scout and a veteran of the U. S. Air Force. John enjoyed photography, movies, electronics and was an avid Ham Radio enthusiast with the call letters K9XO. John was a Electrical Technician for General Motors in Kokomo then crossed over to Delphi.

He was with the company for over 25 years. Survivors include his three daughters; Christy R. (Dan) Sharp, Shelley N. (Sam) Beatty, and Sara D. (Dennis) Montgomery. Also surviving are his grandchildren; Hayden, Nicole, Natalie (Craig), Brittany Beatty, Riley, Ross, Dalton, Holly and Mitchel, along with his great grandchildren; Ella, Cambria, Ruby, Emberlyn, and Harper.

A brother Joe Lane also survives. John was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Hal Lane. Graveside services will be held at 2 PM on Friday May 4, 2019 at Tipton’s Fairview Cemetery.

Military honors will be provided by the U. S. Air Force and the American Legion Post 46.
