He was born May 30, 1945 in Harvard, Illinois the son of Mitchell and Nila Dunbar Terpstra. He married Patricia Ann Klein who survives him.
He was a U.S. Army Veteran, A member of the V.F.W. and loved fishing, hunting and old cars. He was a member of the Kettle Moraine Classic Car Club. One of John’s favorite things to do was playing Santa Claus for many people.
in real life, he looked exactly how Santa Claus should look. . He is survived by his wife, Patricia.
Four Sons, Jeff Hitt of Rockford; Jarrett Terpstra of Rockford, Il. John II of Ocala, Fl. and Jason of Rockford.
Step children , Craig and Sherri . 13 Grandchildren. 1 bro, Ron 3 sisters, Darlene, Joyce and Nell Memorial Celebration of life will be 2 to 4pm Sunday, Feb.
3rd. 2019 at the Delavan American Legion, 111 S. 2nd. St., Delavan where services will be at 3pm.
