Obituary for John Andrew Makosky John Andrew Makosky, 84, of Cumming passed away Sunday, February 3, 2019 at the Oaks at Hampton following a period of declining health. Born July 24, 1934 in Montville, NJ to the late John and Mary Makosky, Mr. Makosky lived in Alpharetta for over 30 years before moving to the Oaks at Hampton in 2017. After a long career in the automotive industry, John retired from Webb Wheel Products in 1999.

A U.S. Army veteran, John was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Joan Colette Makosky and son, John David Makosky. Surviving are his children, Sharon and Terry Martin, Dawsonville, Diane and Dan Rennell, Rogers, AR; six grandchildren, Laura and Joe Grossman, Kevin Martin, Justin Rennell, Courtney Rennell, Evan and Alexis Rennell, Hannah Rennell; and sister, Dorothy Makosky, Montville, NJ.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 7, 2019 at 3:30 p.m. at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Dawsonville Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Thursday from 2 p.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.
