OBITUARY John B. Dyer June 21, 1926 – September 21, 2018 John Burnett Dyer, Jr. passed away on Friday, September 21, 2018. He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Demone Dyer, his parents, John Burnett Dyer, Sr. and Ethel Negus Dyer of South Yarmouth, Massachusetts. The inurnment service will be held on Wednesday, September 25, 2018, at Eternal Hills Memory Gardens in Snellville, Georgia.

He is survived by his son Steven J. and Sandra Dyer, grandchildren Chelsey Melissa and Travis John, and sister Dorothy Brown of South Yarmouth, Massachusetts. He graduated from Quincy High School, Quincy, MA, and attended Northeastern University, Boston, MA. Mr. Dyer served in WWII in the 15th Army Air Force in Foggia, Italy.

He was associated with Allendale Mutual Insurance Company of Johnston RI, AVP and Senior Underwriter, retiring in 1989. He was also associated with Kemper Insurance Company for 20 years. He lived in many different places during his career including Quincy, Boston, Canton, Norwell, Seekonk, Massachusetts and Hudson, Ohio and then to Walnut Grove, Georgia.

He was involved with many organizations including Blue Hill Lodge AF & AM, Canton, MA, Society of Mayflower Descendants of Ohio; he served on the Board of Trustees of the United Church of Christ in Canton, MA and the Building Committee in Norwell, MA.
