Obituary for John Clauss III Hewitt: John Clauss III, 66 passed away on Monday April 9, 2018. John was born on March 22, 1952 in Paterson to the late John Jr. and Mae (nee Swan) Clauss. John had been a resident of Fair Lawn and Vernon.

John was the proud owner of Clauss Construction Company for 45 years. John was an avid golfer and fishermen. He was predeceased by his brother Jay Clauss.

John was the loving husband of Linda (nee Landon) Clauss, father of Rebecca Bryson and her husband John of Columbia, NJ, Briana Clauss and her husband Thuat To of Washington Twp. , NJ and Travis Clauss of Vernon, and a proud grandfather of Gianna and Owen Bryson and Juliana To and brother to Karen Ackerson of Midland Park and Gary Clauss of Bushkill, PA, and uncle to several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends will be received on Thursday April 12th from 4-8pm at the Ferguson-Vernon Funeral Home 241 Rt.

94 Vernon, NJ (GPS use 1 Vander Hoof Court), and are invited on Friday April 13th for services at the funeral home at 11AM, cremation service private. In lieu of flowers, the family will be accepting donations. For directions and condolences see www.
