Levick will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, May 4, 2019 in Sullivan Village Church of Christ with Eric Sharum officiating. Arrangements are under direction of Becker-Rabon Funeral Home. The family will greet friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

John E. Levick was born September 8, 1950 in Lawton to William Granville and Lutricia Boots (Whittaker) Levick. He died Saturday, April 27, 2019 in Lawton at the age of 68. John was a 1969 graduate of Lawton High School.

He married Debbie Gilbert on May 22, 1976 in Lawton. Following graduation he worked a number of jobs before beginning a long career with Southwestern Bell Telephone Company. He retired from the phone company in 2003 and later worked for General Dynamics in communications quality control.

He also worked for the Comanche County Assessor’s Office as a deputy field appraiser. John was a member of the Sullivan Village Church of Christ. He was very active with Boy Scouts of America.

He was an eagle scout and a vigil member of the Order of the Arrow. He had been a member of Troops 112, 176 and 100 and served as the maintenance chairman for Camp George Thomas. John also enjoyed scuba diving and served as an instructor for the Dive Shop.

He is survived by his wife, of the home; two sons, Don Levick and Erin, Porter Hill, Oklahoma and Travis Levick and Sheila, Lawton; seven grandchildren, Tristan Levick, Holly Levick, Justin Levick, Cheyenne Propst, Kaitlin Bowers, Isobel Leber and Alexandria Bradshaw. His parents and his brother, Chris Levick, preceded him in death.
