Funeral Mass Saturday, December 29, 2018 10 AM at St. Francis Chapel John E. McNamara, age 87, of Tonawanda, died Monday, December 24, 2018 at the Schofield Residence. Born December 10, 1931 in Tonawanda, he was the son of the late Timothy E. and Elizabeth (nee Brauer) McNamara. He served in the Army National Guard from 1952 to 1958.

John was a foreman at Exelon-ESK in Tonawanda before retiring. He was a lifelong member of the Gastown Sportsmen’s Club, St. Francis of Assisi Parish, and was an avid hunter, bowler and fisherman. He was the husband of the late Gloria J. McNamara, who died December 1, 2009; father of Keith (Sandra) McNamara of Cheektowaga, Nora Jean McNamara of Tonawanda, and the late Catherine L. Szczublewski, who died August 6, 2013.

Also survived by several nieces and nephews. There is no visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM Saturday at St. Francis Chapel, 71 Adam Street, Tonawanda; the Rev.

Michael Uebler officiating. Friends invited. If desired, memorials to Hospice Buffalo are preferred by the family.
