It is with great sadness that the family of John Francis Dembrowsky of Stoughton, MA, known to his family and friends as “Jack” passed away unexpectedly on December 27, 2018 at the age of 76 in Mechanicsburg, PA. Jack was born on Monday, March 9, 1942 in Brockton, MA to the late Alexander J. Dembrowsky and Stella (Zabrosky) Dembrowsky. In addition to his parents, Jack is preceded in death by his sister, Andrea.

Jack’s survivors include his wife of 50 years, Dorothy Louise (McKeough) Dembrowsky; his four children: John Dembrowsky and his wife, Patricia, of Stoughton, MA; Alicia Bouchard and her husband, Peter, of Sharon, MA; Elizabeth David-Dembrowsky and her husband, Dumitru, of Manhattan, NY; and Maria Nigro and her husband, Anthony, of Dobbs Ferry, NY; his seven grandchildren: Jacob, Noah, and Ethan Dembrowsky; Benjamin and Nicholas Bouchard; and Alexandra and Jacqueline Nigro; his four siblings: Paul, Marie, Valerie, and James; and his many cousins, nieces, and nephews. A lifelong Stoughton resident, Jack attended St. Mary’s School, Stoughton High School, Stonehill College and B.U. Law School. He practiced law in Stoughton for over fifty years, was very active in local politics, serving as a Town Meeting Member and a Selectman.

He was a proud member of the Knights of Columbus, Stoughton Historical Society, and YMCA Easton Branch; a former volunteer at the Stoughton Youth Baseball coach; a CCD Teacher at the Immaculate Conception Church; and the Ed McMahon of the Dick Murphy Show. All are welcome to join Jack’s family at his Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, December 29, 2018 beginning at 1:30 P.M. at Immaculate Conception Church, 122 Canton Street, Stoughton, MA 02072. A visting hour with the family will be held prior to the Mass from 12:30 P.M. to 1:30 P.M. in the church.

Interment in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Stoughton, MA will be at the convenience of the family. Contributions in celebration of Jack’s life can be made to Keren-Or, Inc., 350 Seventh Avenue, Suite 1004, New York, NY 10001, 212-279-4070, www. keren-or.org.
