John George, of Port Jefferson Station, died peacefully on Friday, May 3, 2019 at St. James Nursing Home. He was 85. John served proudly in the US Army after the Korean War.

He then joined the US Postal Service. After his retirement, John kept busy working part time for a security firm as well as enjoying his hobbies of watching classic movies, especially John Wayne pictures, caring for his pets, and car talk with his friends. John will be remembered as a friendly, easy-going man whose sense of humor could make a corny joke seem funny.
