Obituary for John H. Fawcett John H. Fawcett, age 58, of Timberlake, passed away unexpectedly from complications of diabetes on July 17, 2018 in Willoughby. He was born in Akron, on April 9, 1960, to William and Ruth Fawcett. John graduated from Eastlake North High School in 1978.

He attended Johnson and Wales Culinary school in Rhode Island and Edinboro University in PA. He was a lifelong Cleveland sports fan especially baseball. John backpacked across the US and western Europe.

He was a student of all religions and maintained a strong spiritual life. He loved music, fishing, cooking, and had great artistic talent. John never cared about material things and had been known to give away the shirt off his back or his last dollar.

He never said an unkind word about anyone and always wished others the best. He lived his life with core beliefs of love, care, kindness, and heart; the things that truly matter. He was a loving son, brother, uncle, great uncle, and friend who will be deeply missed.

John is survived by his loving parents, William and Ruth Fawcett of Timberlake, his dog Nellie, his sisters April (Philip) Nagel of Atlanta and Jennifer (Richard) Mendelow of Houston, his five nieces, his two nephew, his four great nieces and his one great nephew. Entombment at Knollwood Cemetery, Mayfield Heights. A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 20, 2018, at 11:30 AM at Monreal Funeral Home.

Visitation will be on Thursday, July 19, 2018 from 3-7 pm at the Monreal Funeral Home, 35400 Curtis Blvd. , Eastlake. Family suggests donations in John’s name to Willopraise Compasionate Community, 32901 Vine St., Willowick.
