OBITUARY John H. Phillips March 18, 1921 – January 17, 2019 John H. Phillips, 97, of Sun City passed away January 17, 2019. John was born to William Henry and Ona Mae (Mulligan) Robinson on March 18, 1921 in Llano, Texas. At age 17, John met the love of his life, Mary Ellen Barrett, while both were working at a movie theater in Tujunga, California.

On May 18, 1940, John and Mary Ellen were married in Las Vegas, NV. John served in the Army during World War II. After the war, he worked as a mechanic for the airlines, retiring from Northwest Airlines in 1980.

John is survived by his loving wife of 78 years Mary Ellen; his sons John S. (Joyce) Phillips and James L. (Diane) Phillips; his grandchildren Lee Phillips, Carrie Phillips, Noel Phillips, and Kindra Baum; as well as his 2 great grandsons Jack James Schwyn and Campbell Asher Phillips. A Graveside Service will be held Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at 10:00 am at Sunland Memorial Park, 15826 N. Del Webb Blvd. , Sun City, AZ.
