John Hugh Gordon, 91, of McDonald, died Thursday, May 2, 2019, in Canonsburg General Hospital. He was born October 6, 1927, in Oakdale, a son of James and Issabelle Patterson Gordon. Mr. Gordon was Christian, and prior to his retirement, he worked for many years at the scrap yard.

He proudly served his country with the United States Army, during the Korean War. Surviving are his sons, Joseph, Robert, David, Donald Gordon, all of McDonald, Dennis Gordon, of Canonsburg; his daughter, Margaret Kline, of McDonald; his grandchildren, Kenneth (Heather) Kline, Christopher Kline, Matthew Kline, Deviney Kline, and James Gordon; and his great-grandchildren, Tyler and Conor Kline In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Walls Gordon; his sons, John Gordon, Jr., and James Gordon; and his brother, James Gordon. Arrangements entrusted to Sollon Funeral and Cremation Services, LTD, 30 East College Street, Canonsburg, Phillip L. Sollon, supervisor, J. David Sollon, director, 724-746-1000.
