John Joseph Lucin, 76, passed on to eternal life on April 27, 2019 in the loving presence of his wife, Cathy and son, Jeremy, at Sunrise of Dublin, Ohio, from complications of Lewy Body Dementia with Parkinsonism. He was born in San Francisco, CA on his mother’s birthday and was preceded in death by his father, Joseph M. Lucin, and his mother, Mary Kustura Lucin. Surviving family includes his wife, Catherine Dew Lucin; son, Jeremy Joseph Lucin; daughter-in-law, Tricia Williams Lucin; twin grandsons, Miles Joseph Lucin and Tate William Lucin.

John was a graduate of University of Washington, BA 1966; and Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, MA, 1968. He was a financial advisor and branch manager with Paine Webber from 1971-1994, and Morgan Stanley from 1994-2012. He earned many awards and accolades throughout his career, including Manager of the Year in 1997.

John was a member of Scioto Ridge United Methodist Church. He was a member of Lambda Chi Alpha and President if the Cal Poly Alumni Association in 1977. He loved the freedom he felt on the ski slopes and we hope that he is cruising right now.

We are grateful to Capital City Hospice for the loving care provided to John and his family during his final week of his life. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, May 18, 2019 at 12:00 pm at Scioto Ridge United Methodist Church, 4343 Dublin Rd, Hilliard, OH 43026, followed by a reception. Memorial contributions may be made to Ohio Health Foundation for the benefit of either Delay the Disease, A Parkinson’s exercise program; or Fore Hope, a therapeutic golf program for people with neurological conditions.
