OBITUARY John “Jack” Boardman May 15, 1926 – November 30, 2018 John Boardman, fondly known as “Jack” of Barefoot Bay, passed away on Friday, November 30th, after a brief illness. Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on May 15, 1926, he was raised in Philadelphia and lived with his family in Penndel, Pennsylvania. He worked for many years as a bus driver for the Philadelphia Transit Authority.

In 2000, he moved to Barefoot Bay with his second wife Betty. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Boardman and Lillian Strunk Boardman, his wife, Elizabeth J. Boardman, his first wife, Alice Boardman Stahl, and grandchildren, Russell Sellers and Charlene Sadowl. He is survived by son and daughter-in-law, John Robert and Joanne Boardman, his daughter and son-in-law, Carol Ann and Russell Sellers, and daughter, Barbara Boardman Anderson.

He is survived by grandchildren, John (Shanna) Sellers, Janna (David) Sellers Pancini, Denise Sadowl (Walter) Kocon, James (Tammy) Anderson, John (Miriam) Anderson, Bambi Boardman (Richard Watson), Cheryl (Jesse) Boardman Hawk; great grandchildren, Kendall Sellers, Reed David Pancini, Jenna Letts, Kira Anderson, May Kala Anderson, John Anderson Jr., Lorelai Anderson, Thomas Anderson, Richard Watson, Jr., Alexandra Watson, Erika Watson, Gabriella Watson; great great grandchild Hailey Letts. He is also survived by his son-in-law Joseph Raglan (Susan), grandchildren, Joseph Raglan, Michael Raglan, Cheryl Raglan and Alexandra Raglan, his great grandchildren, Lesa Raglan, Chloe Raglan, Paige Raglan and Sophia Raglan. Jack was a regular member of many clubs in the Barefoot Bay area and his enthusiasm will be sorely missed.

At John’s request, there will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at 2:00 pm at First Presbyterian Church of Sebastian, 1405 Louisiana Avenue, Sebastian Florida 32958; Reverend Jeff Wood will be officiating. John will be interred at Hillside Cemetery in Roslyn, Pennsylvania at a later date.
