Obituary for John “Jack” Thompson John “ Jack” Thompson, Army Veteran and , owner of The Scottish Shop “ The Complete Scottish Shoppe” in Summit, Illinois. Beloved Husband of Aniela, nee Rzadkosz. Dear Step father of Bonnie (Roman) Halon, Lucy (Darek) Kita and Peter ( Kasia) Kobylarczyk.

Proud Grandpa of Jacob, Michael and Victoria Halon, Annette, Gabriel and Patricia Pawlikowski and Max and Alex Kobylarczyk. Jack was a Member of the Argo Summit Masonic Lodge #1133, Member of Medinah Shriners, Member of the American Legion, Member of VUMS Veterans of Underage Military Service, Member of Royal Order of Scotland Provincial Grand Lodge, Grand Piper of Constellation-Edison Park Lodge #974 of Grand Lodge of A. F. & A.M. Visitation Friday, November 2, 2018 at 3 PM until 9 PM at Foran Funeral Home, 7300 W. Archer Ave. (55th St just West of Harlem).

Masonic Service will be begin at 7 PM followed by Military Honors and a Celebration of Life Service. Jack played the bagpipes and taught many the artful technique of playing the bagpipes. Jack was the owner of the largest collection of kilts to rent in the country.

He would say, “ I tell people to at least know the name of the tartan they are wearing. They could get asked why they are wearing another family’s tartan”. Jack was the Master of the Kilt.
