Dunnellon- John Jay Klaver, Sr.,72, died on February 10, 2019 after a valiant battle with cancer. He was born September 18, 1946 in Phillipsburgh, NJ and was the son to the late Peter Klaver and Stella(Lipka) Klaver. John moved to Dunnellon in 1980 from the Poconos in Pennsylvania.

He was employed as a Meat Butcher with Sam’s Club in Ocala and formerly of Kash n’ Karry in Dunnellon. He was a former Master Gardner and enjoyed working on cars. He is preceded in death by his daughter and two sisters.

Survivors include his wife of 53yrs. , Mabel Klaver; his son, John Jay Klaver, Jr.; his brother, Peter Klaver and Lincoln Klaver; his sisters, Anna Johnston, Madelyn Stanton, Ali Wortman, Candace Karrigan, April Richardson, Melody Bair and Nellie Klaver. There will be a celebration of life held at a later date.
