John Keith Greene, age 81 of Fleetwood died March 5, 2019 at Ashe Memorial Hospital. Mr. Greene was born December 2, 1937 in Watauga County to the late Ralph and Lura Hampton Greene. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his brother, James Greene.

Mr. Greene graduated from Watauga County High School and received a degree from Applachian State University. He was a member of West Jefferson United Methodist Church and also sang in the choir. He loved reading, watching sports and spending time on the river.

Arrangements are incomplete. Mr. Greene is survived by, sons, Roger Greene and wife Sandy of Sailsbury and Gary Greene and wife Cherie of Rock Hill, grandchildren, Alexandra, Chase and Sunni Greene, special friend, Aliene Young and family. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the West Jefferson United Church, 102 W Second St., West Jefferson, NC 28694.
