John Lee Miller John Lee Miller, age 94, passed away peacefully in Exton, PA, on Monday, June 11, 2018. Beloved husband and life partner of the late Marjorie (Miller) Miller, he was the devoted and adored father of three daughters all living in Pennsylvania: Marilee Miller Ward (Bob) of Chester Springs, Lindsay Miller Evans (Doug) of Everett, and Carol Miller-Mease (Steve) of Chester Springs. He was the proud grandfather of 6 grandchildren, Whitney Jaeger, Todd Cordray, Andy Cordray, Brandon Evans, Morgan Evans and Travis Mease, 4 step-grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and 7 step great grandchildren; and a brother, Andrew Miller, of Allison Park, PA.

“Lee” was born in Shadyside on Christmas Day 1923 and was graduated from Peabody High School, after which he attended Grove City College. During WWII, he proudly served in the United States Navy as an officer on an LCI in the South Pacific. After the war, he attended the University of Michigan Law School and the University of Pittsburgh Law School, earning his Juris Doctor.

He practiced law at the 100 year old family firm of Miller and Miller with his father, Harvey A. Miller, Sr., brother, Harvey A. Miller, Jr., nephew Kenneth Miller and granddaughter, Morgan Evans, until he retired at age 87. Lee was a very talented drummer and continued to play throughout his life. He was a longtime resident of O’Hara Township and a founding member, Deacon, Elder, Clerk of Session, and Trustee of the Fox Chapel Presbyterian Church.

He also was a master Mason and Shriner. Lee was a longtime member of the Duquesne Club and the Erie Yacht Club, where he and Marge spent many happy weekends sailing Lake Erie. He and Marge were quite the travelers as well, visiting many exotic and exciting places.

Lee was always known for his kindness, honesty and the amazing and unswerving ability to help those in need. There will be no visitation. A memorial service and celebration of his life will be held on Friday, June 29, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at the Fox Chapel Presbyterian Church.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to the Fox Chapel Presbyterian Church, 384 Fox Chapel Rd. , Pittsburgh, PA, 15238.
