OBITUARY John P. Powers June 24, 1935 – September 15, 2018 John “Pete” Powers, 83,of Malvern,PA passed away peacefully on September 15,2018. He is survived by his wife Nancy and 3 children Pam(Jerry Peters), Sheri Powers, and Kevin Michael Powers. He was the proud grandfather of Laura “Larlar” Geisler.

Pete was a graduate of Tredyffrin Easttown High School and then joined the US Army after that. He tended bar for many years at the Chadds Ford Inn before becoming an Insurance Broker. Pete was an avid golfer and long time member at Chester Valley Golf Club.

He was the Golf coach at East High School for many years. He volunteered for the Rosemont Optimist Club and served as President in 1990. Pete had many friends along the Main Line and always had a funny story to tell.

He will be missed. Visitation to be held on Thursday, September 20, from 10:00am-10:55am at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Channing Ave. Malvern PA 19355.

Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11:00am.
