Obituary for John Pinto John Pinto age 95 November 24, 2018 John was born January 11, 1923 in Calabria, Italy to the late Pasquale and Josephine (Sicoli). The family immigrated to the United States when John was 11 years old. He joined the US Army before he graduated from High School.

While serving he was awarded the Bronze Star and the Purple Heart. He married his beloved wife Sarah (Guerreso) in 1946. Sadly, she preceded him in death on February 4, 1993 after 48 years of marriage.

John worked for the city of Dearborn as a Heavy Equipment Operator spending most of his career building Camp Dearborn. He retired in 1980 after 32 years of service. When John was 80 years old the city of Dearborn presented him with his high school diploma.

John is the proud father of Josephine (James) Cotey, Linda (the late Steve) Rozewicz, Don (Susan) and the late Pat. Father in law of Donna. Proud Papa of Richard, Kathy, Tim, Mike, Jonathan, Peter, Sarah, Nick, Greg, and Laura.

Great Papa of Emma, Evan, Henry, Louise, Dominic, Melina, Nora, Evan, Milan, Rozlyn and Maxwell. Brother of Joseph(Heather). Visitation will take place at the O’Brien/Sullivan Funeral Home 41555 Grand River Novi Monday 2-8pm with a rosary at 7:00pm In state at St James Church46325 W Ten Mile Novi Tuesday 10:00am until the funeral Liturgy at 10:30am.
