Obituary for John Pondelis John A. Pondelis, age 85, of Brooklyn Center, passed away peacefully on September 20, 2018. Preceded in death by wife, Carol; parents, Stephen and Aili Pondelis. Survived by children, Steven (Jenifer) Pondelis, Dana (Mike) Zoupas, Dawn Pondelis (Jim Gayken); grandchildren, Stephanie (Anthony) Schwigel, Matthew Zoupas, Cynthia (Rob) Logan; great-grandchildren, Adler, Castle, Emmerich, Thaddeus and Winslow.

John was a veteran of the United States Navy. He spent his career in the banking business. He loved to travel and DIY projects, with which he approached with a craftsman’s eye for detail.

He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He had an infectious smile and was loved by all. Funeral Service 11:00am Thursday September 27th with visitation beginning at 10:00am at St. Mary’s Greek Orthodox Church, 3450 Irving Ave.

South, Minneapolis. Private Entombment Sunset Cemetery Mausoleum. Memorials preferred to St. Mary’s Greek Orthodox Church.
