John R. Van Camp, 53, of Port Huron, passed away on May 25, 2019 unexpectedly with his family by his side. He was born on April 23, 1966 in Port Huron, son of the late Roy and Joannie Van Camp. John married Phyllis Webster on July 18, 2015 in Port Huron.

He loved his children and grandchildren. John also had a love for music. He loved to tell jokes and make everyone laugh.

John was a very giving person. John is survived by his wife, Phyllis Van Camp; children: Tasha Van Camp (John Prater), Steven (Kathy) Van Camp, JoJo (Van Camp), John Dyer, Casey Van Camp and Torie Van Camp; grandchildren: Ron, Jacob, Sierra, Jordan, Lily, Chasity, Emma, Steven, Isaac, Aliyah and Jayse; siblings: Tonya (Earl) Taylor, Pam Dickinson (Paul Gross); Sonya Van Camp (Ron Doan), Tammy Hardman (Richard Okalski, Rose VanDusen and Tom Enright; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two sisters: Anna Ware and Jill Irwin.

Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be at a later date. Arrangements are in care of Jowett Funeral Home, 1634 Lapeer Ave.
