John’s Obituary John R. Smith, 54, Desoto, KS, passed away Saturday March 23, 2019 at the University of Kansas Medical Center, Kansas City. The family will receive friends from 6-8pm on Wednesday March 27, 2019 at the Quisenberry Funeral Home, Tonganoxie. A graveside service will be 10 am Thursday March 28, 2019 at Maple Grove Cemetery, Tonganoxie.

John was born July 12, 1964 in Sierra Vista, AZ, the son of Roy and Nina (Alumbaugh) Smith. He worked as a concrete truck driver for Lawrence Ready Mix, and was a member of the Teamsters Local #696. He was united in marriage to Tina (Cronin) on March 16, 1985 in Desoto, KS.

She survives of the home. Other survivors include; two sons, Justin (Channing) Smith, Tonganoxie, Jordan(Katy) Smith, McLouth; one brother, James Smith, Eudora, KS; and four grandchildren, Sawyer, Jayden, Hayes, and Ryder. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to Quisenberry Funeral Home to help with the funeral account for Mr. Smith’s passing at such a young age.
