OBITUARY John Richard McVety July 7, 1944 – October 28, 2018 John Richard McVety, 74 of Kokomo, passed away Sunday October 28, 2018 at 9:19pm. He was born in Kokomo to the late Gertrude (Boyer) and George McVety. He married Alice (Bollman) McVety April 30, 1972.

She passed away April 18, 2015. John enjoyed fishing, gardening and being in the outdoors. You could find him listening to the oldies and country stations.

John enjoyed making walking sticks and coloring. John especially enjoyed visiting with all who knew him and spending time with his family. He was a loving grandpa to his granddaughter, a loving father to his sons and beloved husband to his wife.

Surviving him are his two sons John P. McVety (Nancy) and Tim B. McVety (girlfriend Ashley), a granddaughter Brielle, and sister Janet. Those who have passed before him are his parents, wife, infant son Chad E. McVety, a brother Bob and a sister Mary. A Graveside service will take place at Albright Cemetery Friday November 2, 2018 at 11 a.m. Please visit www.
