John R. “Uncle John” Iman, age 86 of Chicora, PA died yesterday, July 8, 2018 in Butler Memorial Hospital. Born in Donegal Twp. November 25, 1931 the son of late Charles Bruce.

Iman Sr. and the late Florence Catherine. Earley Iman. He drove school bus for Shriver Bus Lines for 14 years.

He then worked for Miller Truck and Auto from 1978 until he retired in 1984. He is survived by a number of nieces and nephews including Diana Berry of Chicora, Ken ‘Bo’ Brown of Edinburg, Randy Rottman of Chicora. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by 2 brothers: Charles Iman and Arthur Iman and a sister, Martha ‘Doll’ Umstead.

Friends received 4-6 p.m. Wednesday, July 11,2018 at STEIGHNER FUNERAL HOME, 111 E. Slippery Rock and Main Streets, downtown Chicora, PA. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home 6 p.m. Wednesday officiated by Reverend Joseph Olkowski. Interment will be in Hemphill Cemetery, Chicora, PA.
