Mr. John Russell Gilbert of Campbellsville passed away at his home on Friday, November 30, 2018. Born on February 20, 1968 to James Robert and the late Ruth Ann (Maze) Gilbert, he was 50 years, 9 months, and 10 days of age. He was a carpenter by trade and enjoyed being a fix-it man and painter to his family and friends.

He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was of the Church of God faith. He leaves to mourn his passing: Four children: Amber Nichole Gilbert of Raywick, and Jarred Gilbert, Chase Gilbert, and Angelina Gilbert, all of Campbellsville, His father and stepmother: James and Betty Ann Gilbert of Bradfordsville, Five siblings: Cynthia Thomas of Lebanon, James Michael Gilbert, David Shawn Gilbert, and Melissa Dawn Gilbert, all of Bradfordsville, and Laura Savannah Gilbert of Louisville, Three grandchildren: Lexi Gabehart, Logan Pritchard, and Katlyn Wheatley, And a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Kyle Collett and Rider Collett.

There will be a funeral service to honor the life Mr. Gilbert on Monday, December 3, 2018 at 1:00 PM in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville, KY. Bro. Evan Tedder will be officiating.

Interment will follow in the Elkhorn Cemetery, Elk Horn Loop Rd, Elk Horn, KY. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, Dec. 3, after 10:00 AM until time for the service.
