OBITUARY John Steven Kinney July 16, 1947 – December 16, 2018 It is with great sadness that the family of John Steven Kinney, of Ellenton, Florida, announces his passing after battling pancreatic cancer, on Sunday, December 16th, 2018, at the age of 71. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Katherine; his children, Elizabeth (Marc Roden) and Ellen (W. Kevin Mabe); and four grandchildren Emily, Kelsey and Olivia Roden and Wiley Kevin Mabe Jr. Steve is also survived by his sister Patty Harsh and numerous nieces, nephews, Steve was born on July 16, 1947 to Hyman (Pat) and Evelyn Kinney.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Dolores Drake and her husband Jack and his brother George and his wife Julie. Steve was a member of Operating Engineers Local 832 for 15-years. He retired from NY State DOT where he worked from 1981 -2002.

A Prayer Service will be held at a later date at St. Francis Cabrini in Parrish, Florida. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in memory of Steve later this year. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in memory of Steve may be made to The Pancreatic Cancer Network www.
