John Thomas Doyle, 57, of Oil City passed away Thursday January 31, 2019 at UPMC Hamot in Erie after an extended illness. Born in Oil City, PA. on January 2, 1962 , he was the son of Muriel I. Stevens Doyle and the late Thomas R. Doyle.

He graduated from the Oil City High School. John was married to the former Letha Jane Lowers, and she survives. He liked building things, working with wood, and working on recycled items.

He enjoyed spending time with his wife gardening, camping, hunting, fishing, hiking, and sitting around a fire. John was a great husband and a father to his nephew and stepson. John is survived by his mother Muriel I. Doyle brothers Mark Doyle, Tom Doyle and wife Wanda, and Steve Doyle.

Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Thomas R. Doyle and a nephew Josh Goodman. There will be a private burial at Shaw Farm Cemetery.
