Grandfather of Jayana Wainwright and Dylan Klawitter. John was a triplet along with his brother Earl F. (Dawn) Ring, Jr. and the late Raymond Allan Ring. Brother of Sidney Shepherd, Ronald (Georgeann) Shepherd, Ovid (Eileen) Shepherd, Curri Heyer, Howard (Doris) Tomlin, and the late Vernon Shepherd, Almeda Shepherd.

Uncle to Ann-Jeanette Morales, Raymond Allan Ring, III, and many others. Son of the late Earl Franklin and Leonilda Elizabeth (nee Feaster) Ring, Sr. Also survived by his girlfriend Juanita Carrasquillo. Born in Vineland and raised in Millville, John was a longtime resident of Vineland before moving to Hammonton 13 years ago.

He was a 1974 graduate of Millville High School where he was a star runner for track and cross country. John was the owner and operator of Rings Custom Carpets for a few years before becoming a truck driver. He worked for a number of companies including JB Hunt, Patriot, New Century, National Freight, Sunnyside, and, most recently, Express Dedicated LLC.

John was an avid outdoorsman and loved hunting. He also enjoyed coin collecting. Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation on Saturday, December 29, 2018, from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Franklinville United Methodist Church, 1525 Coles Mill Road, Franklinville, NJ 08322.

Funeral service at 10:00 AM. Interment Siloam Cemetery, Vineland.
