Scoopmire, 80 of Gallup, New Mexico will be held on Tuesday-February 19, 2019 at the Trinity Ltheran Church. Burial to follow at the Sunset Memorial Park. John was born on April 14, 1938 in Rehoboth, New Mexico and he passed away on January 27, 2019 in Gallup, New Mexico .

He retired from the Gallup McKinley County Schools. He is survived by his loving wife: Andrea “Hull” Scoopmire of Gallup, New Mexico; Daughters: Amy K. Richards of Nashwauk, Minn, Leslie Ann Wilson of Blythwood, SC and Grandaughter: Joana Scoopmire of Blythwood, SC; and 8 other Grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his Son: Andrew J. Scoopmire; Parents: John B. Scoopmire and Mary Maxine “Medlock” Scoopmire.
