OBITUARY John Wayne Kennedy November 2, 1947 – December 11, 2018 John Wayne Kennedy, age 71, peacefully went to be with God at his home in Mechanicsville, Virginia on Tuesday, December 11, 2018. He was born on November 2, 1947 in Grafton, Ohio to Harold and Avis Kennedy. John served two tours in Vietnam.

John went on to live in Midland, Texas where he worked as a construction foreman and met his future wife, Ann Petersen. They were married on March 24,, 1984. Together they moved to Mechanicsville, Virginia in 1990 and had two children.

John took pride in raising his children, caring for his family, and tending to his home. He is survived by his beloved wife of 34 years, Ann; son John; daughter Michelle; and sisters Carolyn “K” Whitesel, Patricia Stump, and Connie Adams. John had strong faith.
